Would you vote for the creation of an Independent Ethics Commission to provide oversight of the executive and legislative branches of government in New Mexico? Yes

What measures would you take to make New Mexico state government transparent, accessible and accountable to the public? We have a preformance measures and budget review processes in place to hold agencies accountable.

Would you give permission to the Legislative Council Service to make publicly available the final amounts you personally allocate to various capital outlay projects? Yes

If you think reform of the capital outlay system is needed, how would you reform it? If you don't think reform is needed, give us your reasons. Reform is needed with a system that sets priorities statewide for public projects.

Does New Mexico need to invest more in early childhood development? If you think it does, in your opinion what is the best way to invest? If you don't think New Mexico needs to invest more, tell us why. We have increased early childhood development funding from 97 million dollars to 256 million in the last 6 years. We need to continue additional funding at about this pace, with funding being redirected from Medicaid funding.

What measures would you take to improve the state's long-term economy? Cultivate our human capital, through training for today's workforce needs. Revamp our educational system to improve our future workforce. Simplify and reform our tax codes and payment systems. Encourage and coordinate investments in innovation, education, entrepreneurship, infrastructure to adapt to new economic realities.

Would you support the legalization of cannabis for adult recreational use in New Mexico? Why or why not? No. We already have an explosive drug problem. Legalizing cannabis would only send the wrong message and also create a Segway to other drugs.
