Does New Mexico need to invest more in early childhood development? If you think it does, in your opinion what is the best way to invest? If you don't think New Mexico needs to invest more, tell us why. We have increased early childhood development funding from 97 million dollars to 256 million in the last 6 years. We need to continue additional funding at about this pace, with funding being redirected from Medicaid funding.
What measures would you take to improve the state's long-term economy? Cultivate our human capital, through training for today's workforce needs. Revamp our educational system to improve our future workforce. Simplify and reform our tax codes and payment systems. Encourage and coordinate investments in innovation, education, entrepreneurship, infrastructure to adapt to new economic realities.
Would you support the legalization of cannabis for adult recreational use in New Mexico? Why or why not? No. We already have an explosive drug problem. Legalizing cannabis would only send the wrong message and also create a Segway to other drugs.
